Welcome!  To get started on this site, you'll need to first create an account. To do so, click on the "Log In" button in the top right corner. After creating your account you will be able to start and lead a book club.  Please note the County and State when establishing your group so that we can get an idea of the general locations. Once created, your club and its members can use the portal here to exchange ideas and ask questions and set meeting times and places.

If you designate your group as public, any subscriber to this site can join.  But if you'd like to recruit members by having them send you a "request to join," then designate your group as "private" and make sure it's marked as "visible." Interested subscribers can then send a message to the club leader. Book club leaders reserve the right to determine the membership of their club. 

If you've already determined your membership or maxed out your group, you may designate it as "hidden" from view.

Stella's Book Club Central is an open "chat board" in which subscribers can ask questions or comment about the materials.  I will do the best I can to reply when asked.  And, of course, all standard rules of decorum apply.
